How does a magnet work?
A magnet is an object that generates a magnetic field. This field is created by the movement of electrons within the magnet. The electrons in a magnet are all spinning in the same direction, which causes their individual magnetic fields to align and create a larger overall field. The north pole of a magnet is the area where the magnetic field is strongest, and the south pole is where the field is weakest. Opposite poles of magnets are attracted to each other, while the same poles repel each other.
